For our first Pinewood Product of the Month, we’re looking at trousers designed for exactly the sort of active outdoor work HPR handlers know well.

Why they caught our attention...
HPR training and trials can mean spending hours outdoors, often moving through exactly the sort of cover where ticks and insects are a concern. Both trousers use Pinewood's TC Stretch fabric, giving flexibility while remaining durable and breathable. The fabric is also designed to be quick-drying and offers UV 50+ protection. The trousers feature a selection of practical pockets, including zipped leg pockets and bellow pockets with magnetic flaps. For the hunter, the pocket flaps also incorporate cartridge holders – but the overall pocket layout is equally useful for carrying the everyday bits and pieces a HPR handler needs in the field.
Men's – Småland Hunters InsectSafe Trousers M’s are lightweight hunting trousers designed specifically with warmer conditions in mind.
At 580g, they're designed to remain comfortable when you're active, with stretch for freedom of movement and good breathability for warmer days.

For HPR handlers, these look particularly interesting for summer training, working tests and early-season field work, when temperatures can rise but you're still working through long grass, bracken and other tick-heavy cover.
